I've been writing at writathon speed for most of the time I've been on #royalroad and elsewhere. I always tell myself to try to get at least a chapter a day done, or make some forward progress on something, like advertisement, book covers, if writing isn't working for a given day.

I tend to picture characters in IRL scenarios. They sort of live rent-free in my head while I try to map their personality and mindsets to how they would react to normal situations.

first arc is the FMC finding their way to the academy and seeing the world state, how bad things are. this first battle is against a monstrous hawk and tests her ability to outthink and outmaneuver her foe. currently planning 3-4 a week for chapters.

Oh goodness, that is one thing I certainly did not plan for. I'll have some alt covers that are less unintentionally framed.
