Yeah, it's fucking rough. I'd hesitate to call myself naive, but I can imagine how they got this far without confinement or supports. (ie society & infrastructure suck)

However, we're at a point where it doesn't matter if they're for real, because the harm they do *is* real. That's what matters now

Right? You think you've read the extent of believably, awful, negligent human behaviour in fiction before, until you meet someone real that digs the hole way deeper.

Obviously they're manipulative as hell, but this is such a gross twist on selfish apathy I never expected to see 1st hand in an adult

They don't want friends, they want enablers that will give them what they want.

No matter how much I explained how much harm they've brought people, nothing changes. It's always about them.
