not to suggest it’s a purely facile interpretation of gender/sex, but my experience with trans men/trans women has been that they go to the extreme of the most stereotypical form of their preferred gender (and often a caricature it, e.g. trans men beard and chain, trans woman ultrafemme girly pop)
