Cranky old MI veteran, medieval reenactor, grognard board wargamer, grand strategy computer gamer, disabled retiree with a bad attitude. If your profile is pro-MAGA, pro-crypto, pro-Soviet, pro-AI, or "I'm giving away a free" whatever, you're blocked.

This is something that long ago was something conservatives railed against: the presumption that the State is paramount and incapable of error. Conservatives have always said that government can't be relied on because it is too big and incompetent. But, as we see today, that was always a lie.

They've been praying for centuries. How well is that going?

Saying "We need to pray" is just a polite way of saying that they have no intention of doing anything.

The Democratic incumbent organized a write-in campaign and was backed by the local Republican party and ended up winning AS A WRITE-IN against a popular democratic socialist in his own party.

Why am I bringing this up? No reason.

They were typical Army soldiers who got voluntold to do duty on the weekend doing something they consider ridiculous. Of course their morale is going to be shit.

ICE is acting precisely the way W Bush, Cheney, and Ridge created them to act, and they've had two decades to build the kind of force that would do it. After we hold the Trump administration responsible, we must hold Bush, Cheney, and Ridge responsible as well.

They never answer my emails. Perhaps I should stop using the term "worthless collaborative cockwombles" when writing to them but I can't think of a less offensive term that maintains the needed level of accuracy.

The talent was there. Then that talent was traded away for a pair of burned out vets in order to "win now" which they didn't. Trading high-quality young players in order to get solid vets rarely works in practice. And now with Pickett and Erceg gone, Lund has gone from decent to horrific overnight.

As a Racing fan, I'm frelling pissed off is what I am. Bad goalkeeping. Bad defending. Bad everything. This match just oozed rottenness from every bad touch... simply bad beyond all infinite dimensions of possible badness.

Well... maybe not that bad, but Lord, it wasn't good.

The gods were displeased with Louisville's defense. And rightly so.
