This didn’t fit, but
Something I find somewhat frustrating in the general online discourse surrounding chronic pain; There’s often this notion that we should just carry our pain bravely and never complain and always be positive. The term “victim mentality” gets brought up a lot. And I’m just like. No. I want to be allowed to be frustrated that I’m in pain, and with the doctors who dismissed me for years. I want to be allowed to express negative emotions. I want to be comforted sometimes. I want to be allowed to feel how I feel about what is happening in my body. I refuse to be told I have incorrect feelings.

The truth is that getting fat is just incredibly easy. It’s almost inevitable as we age if we treat ourselves well. That’s the reality of being a human, our bodies want to store up fat to get through famines. It’s literally fine

Something fascinating about people on the internet is they tend to insist that if you’re fat, you must be lying about what you eat, because “There’s no way in Hell you’d be fat otherwise.” Like, what, are they supposed to tell you that they brush their teeth in bacon fat for you to be satisfied lol
