My partner and I have voted for the NDP in the last three provincial elections & for you in the last byelection. We will not be voting for this party again if this is what you choose to platform on. Our planet is being killed and made uninhabitable. You've just lost two voters.

We will protect each other. We will lift one another up. And we will ensure that not one of us gets left behind.

This government has chosen to forsake its most vulnerable. There will be hell to pay for such cruelty. We will ensure it.

I have no hope or faith that they will find kindness in themselves or come to understand their wrongdoings. However, I do have an immense amount of belief in disabled Albertans, Caretakers, Guardians, and Advocacy Groups and that we will work together to prevent the implementation of ADAP.

The Government of Alberta Telephone Town Halls were a farce. They filtered out anything that could be construed as criticism and uplifted only the voices of the reverent. Nixon and Smith are cowards. Something that wouldn't be so horrible if they weren't also so evil and monstrous.

But they did not. This allowed the virtual meeting to blossom into something beautiful: collective rage. Each person who spoke voiced the thoughts and emotions we were all feeling. Despite being ignored by our government, it was like we were being heard for the first time. At least it was for me.

Those unanswered questions and unheard voices have, rightfully so, festered into heartbreak, fury, and rage. The council heard a lot of that tonight. Though many of us were not heard, were not given the chance to speak, they could have cut us all off the moment we deviated from the prescribed topic.
