Nope, so skin in the game, but as one of 2 libs in my shop, I was constantly arguing with the cons about the right for the right for LBG troops to serve alongside. There was much hatred for stopping the questioning of suspicious guys to drum them out of service. The new policy caused much con anger

Don't Ask, Don't Tell was a huge change in policy. It wasn't the full acceptance of homosexuals to be out while in the military, but it did stop JAGs from purging gay guys from the ranks. Slow change is better than no change.
