It's a good sign that they took it up. The crazy 5th Circuit ruled that no state can count ballots that arrive after election day, even if they were mailed before election day. It's a bonkers decision. And you need SCOTUS to overrule it (much like they did on how the CFPB had to be funded...)

This is not a surprise to anyone who was closely following this case. It *ought* to be, however, a moment to reflect upon the responsibility (or not) of media outlets that, deliberately or not, led folks to believe that a grant was a serious possibility (which it never was).

This was never going to be the case. Too many problems, including that the issue wasn't brought up for 10 years, until the latest filing. It was all silly media frenzy.

Axios can't really be trusted not to just be repeating republican leaks. How often have they reported Harvard is just about to reach a deal with the administration? I remember at least 2.
