Enjoying a Pear Drop Royale (especially the crystallised ginger) while a lady sings Ella Fitzgerald's 'Let's do It' in the background - although the effect is somewhat ruined by the fact that while she croons, all I can hear in my head is Victoria Wood's 'Let's Do It: the Ballad of Barry and Freda'

You could still walk up into the old station tunnel in the early 80s. As kids we got torches and tried to see how far we could go - but it all fell apart when someone shouted 'Rats!Rats!' and we all legged it back oot

Irritating, but not as irreversibly disastrous as getting cassette tapes the wrong way around & recording the silence of the blank tape over the audio of the tape that was meant to be copied - which is the sound equivalent of Ctrl+P instead of Ctrl+C (for those who remember the joys of tape-to-tape)
