Overall, is incredible. The book is a powerful and incredibly relevant message about persistence, resistance, and perseverance. Most of all, this book feels human in a way I quite can’t describe. We know it’s not a story that ends happily, but it’s no less important to read.

Predictably, the structure of the book is very similar to the Hunger Games #1, which I didn’t mind becuase I haven’t read #1 in a long time. Collins does a great job of world building, we see new characters and familiar ones, and she masterfully weaves in themes from the whole series — her writing—

Know how the book ends, Collins still does a good job of making the book entertaining. This is one of the most unique things about the book- we already know the events, so I focused more on the broader implications of the events in the book on the larger “timeline” of the hunger games world.—

The thing with copyright law is infringement claims aren’t really taken seriously unless the other person has profited off of it or you can prove some sort of harm. So while uploading fanfiction to AO3 isn’t really sue-able, selling fanart/ merch can be subject to infringement claims
