I've mentioned River a few times now and should share more, so here's her. It's an art piece I made earlier this year that I don't really love, plus a blurb I wrote in discord that probably won't fit into one message lol (I put it in the alt text).
She's also one of like 2 OCs that isn't straight!

Her name is River, and she represents The Hanged Man I actually made art of her before, tho I'm not the happiest with this, but still so this is what she looks like more or less, her left eye is white cuz it's blind. The ice powers were given to her by another OC named Kyousuke as for the hanged man thing... in the world she's from, people (randomly?) are given powers named after/based on the major arcana. The Hanged Man, being about accepting and letting go, lets the bearer cheat death if they want to live still. They're one with letting go, making them more in tune with death than even Death sometimes. But if they don't want to live anymore, then they die for real and the power frees up. The bad guy knew she had it when she didn't and manipulated her life externally to make it miserable, making her want to kill herself so he could take the power. And he was successful. River chooses to end her life by (somewhat ironically) jumping into a river. Another OC, Watt, happens to witness this and calls out to her as she jumps in an attempt to stop her. This brief moment of someone wanting her to live makes her want to live last second before making impact with the water. She's found days later by Kyousuke floating in the water somewhere far away from where she died, and he helps her get back on her feet. From there, she finds determination to push forward and figure out why her life was so miserable and why she survived
