That said, the USD is still king and there's nothing fundamentally wrong with the US economy (in comparison with the rest of the world). Trump and his team need to go find more landmines to repeatedly stomp on to do that much damage, but they do appear very determined to do so.

A year ago I would have said impossible, today I would say extremely unlikely. Trump and his cronies have gutted most of the independent institutions designed to prevent this. The big banks should have already triggered a massive sell off, but no one wants to be the first to piss off Trump.

Another thing to think about, while China does full scale dress rehearsals for invasion, the Taiwanese soldiers are getting some excellent tracking data, and they aren't giving away any of their capabilities.

Much as I would love that, there's an unreasonable chance that we'll just send you Nickelback, and we could never recover from that as a culture.

Amazed at people who play games that model economics, suddenly disinterested in the thing that it models.
