A chicken in a pot. In another pot I have sweet sausage chilli on the broil. And if any was needed; it is, proof of God!
My chilli's are the business.

At a critical moment. The potential for a raging unstoppable infection ripping through my bellend is high. I am confident but unnerved. I have no other choice. There is no NHS for this I need to be on the ball. Hoping the majority are dead. Knowledge put to the test. New bedding a luxury, work...

I keep buying these cheap books, here are but a few. I have nowhere to put them. So an early mission in the carpentry sphere shall be bookshelves. A deep one for music books and for the studio gonna make that a floater I think. And other deep shelves for the other deep books I have. #books #inspire

A minor studio upgrade installed. I've not been doing much in here of late. Been having a big tidy up around here. You would not think it, but things are now finding a place, I lack places, so I am having to make them. This is one of them. Lots of furniture to make soon. #evolution #studio #upgrade

Did not think I would hear that cracker jack bitches voice again. The sound of my Mum overdosing on prescription drugs. Love ya Mum lol. Se alt text for more. #fieldrecording #dictaphone #foundsound #blastfromadarkpast #makeagoodtracknamethat
Had to go for a walk after, I have not listened in full!

My dad left me with quite the tool collection, many that I still require (or would like) now. Long lost. He never showed me how to use any. Not sure if he really knew with many, never seen him use them lol. Never showed me a great deal, no interest, or so it seemed. #fuckit #bulletdodger #naptime

The little boy in me has a new pocket knife.
Tit heads might ask at this point: what do you need a pocket knife for? This one is primarily for making lines; or a knife wall you might say. Cutting boxes up is a job coming up for it. It is a shit hot razor blade, on hand for whatever init dakhard! ;-)

Here goes with my first planing rig. Very simple, I have realised how difficult this is with push forward tools. So think if this simple kind of setup is going to require the backwards action of japanese tooling. Walking back over the project is a lot easier and smoother than trying to bend forward.

Me in the quicksilvers trusting the camera rather than the varifocals; it was a blur to my eyes. A move prompted by the woodwork, mainly tool sharpening and other close quarters working. The realisation my vision is shonky etc. Has seen me on a self improvement drive; go Tai Chi cyber-vision man...
October 9, 2025 at 7:57 AM
Been practicing the Tai Chi form the past two mornings trying to get moves 1-20 knacked. Which makes it quite a long sesh.
All while wearing glasses lol. Check out the new bookend I found. My bookshelves need organising while I get around to making my first bookshelf. Exciting times ahead. #lost

Getting used to the idea of wearing glasses from tomorrow. Going varifocal cyberdroid into the 2nd 1/4 of a century and quite likely my last. We'll see about that!? These are shit readers; actually doing some reading, hoping these new specs are what I am looking for visually for work, rest, and read.

Let there be light. Another bit of salvage I was pleased to find in working order. So It has been installed. A chance to try out the new plane again. The next project, is a chinese style carpenters bench. Nothing fancy, purely utilitarian to get the big job done of processing all this wood. #project

Cool as fuck - morph bookends!
Found inside the cabinet I found, to go along with the cabinet I gave away to a friend. Great find. Morphs arm is fixed so onto the bookshelf they will go. One in the poetry section and the other? We shall see.

Card scrapers, who knew!?
Right good tool.
Tried my plane out last night. Pretty impressed with it, unfortunately what I was working on was made of lots of boards running at different angles. Sharpening skills could be improved. I've sent the honing tool back, so hand sharpening for me.

A bit beat'n up but there is enough life in them to see me through my initial projects. I may do a bit more work to them yet. The little one is fine really might just give its edges a slight polish. The other has seen some hammer by the look of things, unless it is my eyes. they'll build a workshop.

One Moore & Wright set square.
What I am doing to pass the time instead of drinking and smoking like a cracker jack. I have sharpened my plane blades today too. So all being right I should have a run with them tomorrow. Happy holidays, plodding along, doing nothing much, pottering without the pot...

Been slowly getting on top of things around here. The chair: Which I had visions of getting someone or someone's to model in it for me, has finally seen the light of day. I'm on holiday thankfully, the last day of work saw me go into meltdown. Not much time for rest, there is much to do, enjoyably!

Gave the file so much bastard! It is in fact a bastard cut carving file, so much bastard the handle kept falling off. So I have spent money on copper, a blowtorch and some time into researching a good method of fitting handles. You can see the black oil of the wood has squirted out under pressure.
September 22, 2025 at 11:11 PM
So my improvised sharpening station. Somewhere I can fix and repair tools on an evening after work for now. While I get my facilities built. Gonna dig out a sketch book for designing stuff. Now I have the tools all of a sudden the ideas are coming. For furniture, furnishings, exciting times...

Got myself a hatchet to end all hatchets. Specifically for carving, it is a razor blade. Interesting handle design too. Has an instant, yeah; this is a good tool feel to it. Made for precision and more liberal strokes. Probably going to end up with a set to fulfil a vision of myself processing logs.

Larry is not so excited about all this as I am. He is looking cool though, so all is cool. Just spent another 100 odd quids on a burnisher for the scrapers and a Japanese hatchet lol, why not?! When in Rome, or should I say Japan? On the bucket list Japan is, as is China, actually most places are!

From a photographic perspective I find this interesting. There are many reasons why I find this interesting. The shock factor! Not really that, that only interests from a psychological programmatically informed mass psychosis perspective. Psychology has always been a thing since I was knee high...

Saw the end of this one in the field out of view. it was a day of rainbows yesterday. I've yet to see the pot of gold!
Not much to say really, democracy has gone to a pot of shit. Where it fails, it simply cannot organise fuck all. This, to be said, is the only area "communism" has the upperhand.

Thought I had something laying around on Taoism, I read this many years ago, took it to heart. Similar to Jesus teaching, Buddhist etc.
Giving up on attachment to things, it is a tough one, it has taught me a lot though.
Walked away from a house, a car, tools, pretty much everything to go adrift...

One dirty fish tank. i am trying to rework this area so that it actually works. Essential oils, tools, books. It has opened up the bedroom at least so I can begin to think about making that a nice nesting area. Making my own chess board is on the cards, it has been on them decades. Can do it now.
