In the end, both stories are INCREDIBLE but they approach their narrative (and gameplay) at opposite ends of the spectrum.

That is all, I just wanted to vent about it a little bit.

as opposed to Tactics Ogre. The 8~12 team composition of Tactics Ogre usually places you the headspace of team composition more than individual strength.
Individual vs Group are put in direct conflict by comparing those two stories and, as expected Delita is the other point of view (Tactics Ogre's)

goes beyond that. It goes into the gameplay. In FFT, we have a party of (usually) 5 units which are VERY HIGHLY customizable. Those units are there to be your "personal group" whom you care for and develop individually. They are individuals. Their configuration itself decides your success+

Of course, that is not to say that in Tactics Ogre we don't have emotional stakes. They are the core of the experience but they are put in as choices of the player making those stakes play out as opposed to FFT where the stakes are fully embedded in the story itself.

That is cool and all but it+

are way more akin to the way Tactics Ogre characters deal with issues. In many ways, Delita is a mirror from Tactics Ogre to the individual and sympathetic Ramza from FFT.

Those differences grow in time as each story gets more personal (in FFT) or less individual (in Tactics Ogre)+

even though we have naturally space to identify and develop bonds with those characters, they are part of a larger picture. One who goes beyond the individual needs and wants of the protagonist, Denam.

This is very interesting because it goes in contrast with Delita in FFT, whose actions+

but doesn't focus on the full scale of the war as much.

On the other hand, we have Tactics Ogre, where, from the beginning, your choices (which is in itself a deviation from the FFT narrative style) decide who lives and who dies. The *many people affected by war* are the protagonists in it and +

In FFT, you are on the viewpoint of Ramza during the entire time and the adventure goes directly in conflict with *his* personal interests and urges. *He* is the protagonist and his quest feel personal. Emotionally closer, the narrative of FFT details the struggles of a few within the war +

Both are awesome, to be honest
