What a compassionate soul she is 😠
Govt minister @karinsmythmp.bsky.social nods along as Sophy Ridge tells her about the cuts that hospices are having to make.

It's a scandal that hospices rely on charity for most of their funding & what we need is a publicly funded & fully resourced hospice system within the NHS.

@carersscotland.bsky.social are developing a 'Caring for Carers' roadshow in 2026/27.

The roadshows will offer a range of information, support, opportunities for peer connection & access to local services. They want input from unpaid carers to ensure it meets their needs.

Dalmarnock Primary's been offering family learning for years.

It's sad *some* parents are boycotting a school cause asylum seeker families get that support too via ESOL.

Funny how certain folk never raised PVG concerns for other family learning on offer...

And this is what happens when people do try and learn some English.

Let people improve their already limited life chances, and put down your silly little banners.

Got the window open to let the cold air in & to hear the noise. At home there's no noise at night so it's kind of nice to hear stuff. Also listening to @robertdallasgray.com latest robertdallasgray.bandcamp.com/album/the-va... which is bloody great & def what I need after 2 nights of singalongs.

Reform's former leader in Wales has been jailed for 10yrs for taking Russian bribes.

This shower of absolute chancers prey on people's justified anger. The only way to counter that is by giving hope that another world is possible, one where everyone can afford to get by.

Turin Brakes became the hub that connected me to so much music and many great folk back in the day. It's always a great pleasure to see them live so will be toddling along to St Luke's later.

Up at too early so that I could change plans if I freaked out on the underground but I didn't, I was very calm. I even used the lifts in the hotel without incident (unlike in Edinburgh the other night when I behaved like a big wean.
This train north has too many stops - it's going to be a long day.

The chance to hear @tommcraemusic.bsky.social play his first album straight through with a full band & with John Bramwell kicking off the night wasn't something I wanted to miss so I scooted down to London yesterday to see them all at Shepherds Bush Empire

Beautiful night 💚💚💚

Night at the opera took an unexpected turn.
Bailed from La Boheme at half time (once you've heard one aria ... & we couldn't cope with the sad ending) & made it back to our hotel for the 2nd half of the footie.
(The opera was wonderful btw)

I and the @ScottishGreens.org have long called for a worker-led Just Transition Plan for Mossmorran - this is exactly why. The Scottish Government promised to come up with a plan more than a year ago but have failed to deliver it.
