The lake house and the guest house as first introduced #writingq
Ten minutes later, we arrived at the lake house, a four-story A-frame wood structure with big windows overlooking the water on every floor. The house was tucked away at the end of a cul-de-sac behind some trees. You could only get a good view of it if you were on the lake. Right next to the house was a two-story cedar-shingled chalet that my grandparents had built originally for guests. It wasn't a guest house anymore, though; it was someone else's home. My mom and her brothers had sold it to some woman from Boston she met at a conference.
