I feel like (or hope that?) deep down, you know it is nothing to do with your parenting. It is rough though, and I am sorry you are going through this.

Oooooh that is a great idea! I am always trying to hint to people to get me “consumable” things, like bubble bath or soap, instead of, like, another t-shirt or mug. Maybe one day this kind of conversation will be more acceptable instead of feeling like I am being ungrateful.

I love hanging out with them and drinking lots of wine and whatever but I hate feeling like I have to give them THINGS that they will LIKE and I hate getting THINGS as gifts that I don’t need, I just wanna spend time with my loved ones
