There's a certain irony in the timing of this milestone, but... yay?!?
I'm thinking a lot about the delightfully weird optimism in Terry Pratchett's "Hogfather" as we go into 2025. This whole scene is deep in my brain, but the essence is this line:
"YOU NEED TO BELIEVE IN THINGS THAT AREN’T TRUE. HOW ELSE CAN THEY BECOME?"
