Losing fantasy football 6 weeks in a row is diabolical

Second year no PhD admits and some of my friends are shocked. I literally have no idea how to improve for next year. Been at NASA almost 3 years & publishing 2 papers this year. Feels like a sick joke. I’m so tired.

Amidst everything, I finally made it to the Paris 1874: The Impressionist Moment exhibit at the NGA the last day it’s open. Absolutely in awe!

Like clockwork, it’s the time of year where I see posts about the competitiveness of PhD apps by faculty reviewers. Do they not realize applicants can see their posts? Not great for the nerves/confidence of us applicants in the midst of this hyper competitive landscape. 1/2
