I honestly do not forgive ANY senator for not knowing about Khalil. He has not been accused of any crime. They are deporting him for political speech. The Trump admin will of course invent some made up narrative to spin it to the public, but Schumer is doing their work for them! What the fuck

How else will Trump be defeated, unless some republicans help? There is no way for the dems to defeat Trump on their own because they don't have the votes. We will either be saved by a handful or republicans growing a spine, or not at all.

I don't get the point you're trying to make. Seems you're simultaneously suggesting that the Constitution has outlived its usefulness, but you're not advocating for an actual revolution/civil war. Not sure you can have one without the other. I agree we need better leadership and AOC has stepped up.

It's true that actions speak louder than words, but I disagree with "leave them alone." It's good to closely monitor their actions and let them know when they could do more to oppose Trump. Of course, pressure on republicans is way more necessary. We need to drive a wedge btwn Trump and the GOP

Good point, it matters more what actions they actually take to oppose Trump. I looked it up and Himes wanted to be consistent with when he voted in 2009 to discipline the person who shouted "you lie" during Obama's SOTU. He says he's trying to maintain decorum www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/politic...

It's not about the censure but them not doing enough to stand up to Trump. If people are not loudly opposing Trump and raising the alarm, how will the public know this is a crisis? Messaging and public support matters.

I guess it applies to Biden trying to cling to the nomination, where Dems really ignored voters' concerns. I don't see how it applies to Harris's campaign. She overall had smart messaging that won back a lot of voters Biden lost. Economy-wise, it was hard for her to make a good case as incumbent VP

How is it so easy for people to victim blame and abandon McBride in her time of need? The people who should be making the most noise are other Democrats, since their existence is not under attack. Why does the burden to defend civil rights always fall on the people whose rights are being taken away?

Why direct criticism at the person being humiliated and dehumanized, rather than the Republican bigots, or the Democrats who failed to defend her?
