It’s fun to see old restoration projects still out on the landscape. This stone line near Hatch, NM was likely installed by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s. It may not look like it “worked” but the only green grasses we saw were growing among the stones. #ecorestore #restoration

Working with data from 75,000+ plots we find that introduced species shift community level traits: Invaded communities have fast leaf and root traits, are shorter, shallower, and less reliant on mycorrhizae. These shifts may drive changes in ecosystem functions www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...
