It's #Descriptathon time! We're making 16 NPS brochures more accessible for visitors who are blind or have low vision using the UniDescription system. I'm on team Craters of the Moon. This is our mascot, Bob.
Description: Bob, a pika, wears a white astronaut suit and stands on his hind legs on black lava rocks. Pikas are small mammals, resembling rabbits except with smaller, rounded ears. The puffy suit covers his entire body exposing only his four paws. A clear, dome helmet encircles his head, which is turned slightly to the side as he gazes into the distance. Light reflects in his misty eye. A dark, square pack is strapped to his back. The sky behind him is black, with a grey full moon in the upper left corner. Text above the critter reads Craters of the Moon, Bob. Bob, this mascot, is named after Robert Limbert, an explorer and photographer who was instrumental in establishing Craters of the Moon National Monument in 1924.
