The classes just walked through the books. I did a two day class with IAPP - it covers the books in table of contents order. So if classroom is a preferred retention method, it's expensive but good.

It's been a while for me - so this may be dated - but it was very much a test to the materials they provide. So if you get the books, read and note take, annotate your books or do flash cards - whatever your usual memorization jazz is - that worked for the various CIPPs I had.
