This outcrop is located in Oakland, New Jersey very close to the Ramapo Fault system.
Subrounded pebbles and cobbles were probably derived from lower Paleozoic rocks that covered the Precambrian rocks of the present day Highlands to the northwest during the formation of the Newark Basin.
