I used to be a huge Stephen King fan many years ago and The Stand was one of my fave books of his. So the thought of an unabridged version was like catnip. Until I tried to read it.

The fact that AI costs a shedload of money to implement and for ongoing use explains both the eagerness of companies to squirt it at large public sector institutions, *and* the cold molasses pace of adoption by those institutions, who are struggling to find funding for BAU at the best of times..
