actually beyond the pale for the time or is it just some intense biases from the sources. To me this train of though seems like it comes from this idea of history as a field being like math. That there is one correct unbiased history that exists and anything that isn't that is bad.

Hello 10,000 years late to this post because I don't check Bluesky very often. As someone who is currently studying for a history degree the only time I could see this framing being useful is if you're trying to find if historical figure was treated a certain their peers and if their actions were

Not too young per se but when I was a kid I was watching TV and my DVR said a Pokemon movie was going to be playing and instead it was Spirited Away. The scene where the parents turn into pigs still haunts me.
