I was taught our history in the 1960's. Long before California statehood we were a part of Spain and Mexico. People outside of California don't get it. I'm thinking of flying California, Mexico, and Irish flags! Thanks for the idea.

California is a Spanish name.California, Mexico,and Spain are intertwined. If you weren't raised and living here you don't know our culture and history. Most of our cities are Spanish names.
As an Anglo, I'm less concerned by a flag waver, than a full fledged military clad gun toting coup enforcer.
