When my price for office 365 was raised because of CoPilot I got the option to downgrade to a version without CoPilot when I was about to cancel my subscription. I went back to the original price.

The problem is just that if they wait to long there likely will not be a chance to do anything. Also you could argue that the longer they wait the more complicit they are in his actions and fear what consequences it will have for them self.
