The most common animal you'd see pulling wagons would be horses. You'd have to be *very* good at talking to convince one of your dragon friends to do so - unless it's for work, who definitely tops the hierarchy for symbols.

Healing/Herbalism
HF has very futuristic medicine, but a lot of it had a base in nature (with several solarsystem's worth to play with). Sam likes a hands-on approach for smaller ailments, though, and a lot growing in the garden for cooking have medicinal properties.

Considering how much nature is in everything I write, fantasy or sci-fi, I can't, off the top of my head, remember if there are any plants that have a strong symbolism behind them. My people are more into stars and constellations. But if a flower glows, it's usually special.

A lot of the trees and flowers have names that are derived from Old Earth, but are alien and magical versions of them. Others are completely alien, magical or both. Like the giant ironwoods that you can literally build spaceships out of wood if you'd like.
