🎉 It’s finally official - I am a doctor now! 🎓 I defended my PhD last month and have just received the paperwork from my German university to make it all real. 😊 I am beyond grateful for all the incredible people, especially from the @borklab.bsky.social, who have supported me along the way!

It should be at least once part of every biologist's life to rescue lab stuff from the -80 freezer when they are broken.

Otherwise the training seems somehow incomplete..

A look back at some moments from my Science Summer 2023 with the Summer School on Host-Microbe Symbiosis, the Human Microbiome Conference and consortium meetings. Everywhere I met incredibly talented researchers. It is very easy to become friends when you share the same passion!
