🔸 In short, Spooky express is an excellent game for puzzle and non-puzzle players. It's fun and funny, accessible and challenging. It makes sure no one is left behind and it can take you as far as you want to go.

🔸 In general there's been an effort to make the game more accessible to a wider audience: the train updates its state in real time, which helps keep 'track' of the result of the current path, and I've also enjoyed the clues system, that shows a small section of the solution, without giving it away.

🔸 There's more variety of mechanics here than in Cosmic, so it's not just about taking passengers in and dropping them off. The different characters aren't just a change of skin, either, they have unique behaviours and requisites, and react differently to each other.

🔸 Each world has around 20 levels, for a total of 220, but they unlock in sets of increasing difficulty (or at once from the settings menu), so one only needs to finish the very basic ones to reach the ending. The difficulty curve increases gently and ranges from very easy to hard.

🔸 The game has a horror theme but represented in a family friendly way with cute characters and environments in a vibrant colour palette. There is a bit of a story, told through comic strips, that appear between the 8 worlds, and work as an introduction of each new mechanic and theme.

🔸 It's hard to talk about Spooky express without comparing it to it's predecessor, so for the sake of format and length I'll just say it surpasses it in almost every aspect: music, storytelling, mechanics and passengers variety. TL;DR: Cosmic is good, Spooky is better.

🔶 Spooky express is a pathfinding and logic game where you lay train tracks for the train to follow, onboarding passengers and taking them to their destination. It's a spiritual successor to Cosmic express, but a standalone game at the same time: you don't need to play one before the other.

🔸 Blueprint Bob is a small and short game, but its nature as a sandbox can make it give back as much as one is willing to invest. If you're after a puzzle game with open solutions, sharing them with others and competing for high scores, this is a good option.
November 13, 2025 at 6:37 AM
🔸 The game comes with a score leaderboard with which we can compare our achievements to others'. It also has the option to share solutions between players, thanks to a codes system, mainly shared through the game's Discord.

🔸 The physics system/engine is quite simplistic and I think that is correct. It makes pieces more manageable and the overall experience more fun. Towers being more stable means one can focus on the combination of blocks and making them climbable, rather than praying for it to not wobble too much.
November 13, 2025 at 6:37 AM
🔸 Each of the 3 scenarios comes with a different set of weirdly shaped blocks, and on each level we'll have available only a few of those. So the actual challenge lies in mastering, not only the best way to use each block, but in how to best combine them.
November 13, 2025 at 6:37 AM
🔸 The gameplay loop consists on building a stable tower, that also has to be climbable by Bob. Once we're done building, we can control him directly and put our tower, and jumping skills, to the test. Each level grants a green star for reaching a minimum height, and a golden one for a 2nd height.
November 13, 2025 at 6:37 AM
🔶 Blueprint Bob is a small puzzle game where we're given some building blocks to make a tower and bring Bob to a certain height (or higher). It has 3 scenarios with 14 levels each (plus a 2-level tutorial) and an unlockable 'Sandbox' mode. It doesn't have a story, though.
