Saying something like "I know a lot of you feel despair, and I hope it gets better for you" at least provides good natured encouragement and sensitivity to the issues being faced. The best thing to do is follow it up with some kind of action but one has to start somewhere

My main dysphoria trigger is my voice and sometimes my facial features (that has improved lots since I went on E). I'll never be comfortable with my voice, and if someone does compliment it, it feels like they're talking about someone else and not me

It's a specific sort of discomfort to have gender dysphoria, directly connected to having features and experiences that go against the gender that you are. Cis people can feel it sometimes too, e.g. gynecomastia in men, and cis people can get affirming surgery for much the same reasons.
