The devs outright said that shit was bad there even if they didn’t go into specifics and I’m sure toriyama’s death hasn’t made things any better

I got monsters 3 as a holiday present from a friend a few years ago and still haven’t played it bc I keep forgetting I have it

The remakes not only make sense from a “getting more ppl in the west interested in dragon quest” perspective and a financial perspective, but also because developing an all new game is no longer a sure thing since the past few games have been so troubled

It’s been like five years since 12 was announced and we still haven’t even seen a trailer or art or anything, and treasures and monsters 3 also had pretty troubled developments (they were supposed to be the same game but treasures was made into a separate thing so they could start development over)
