Wargamer, role-playing gamer, oh hell, lots of other games too. Baseball fan (go Blue Jays), data scientist, nerd.
I would buy AMFS 2nd ed, but it's over $500 at Noble Knight. #ThreadNecromacer

Mix it up next time. Drive through the door, and then shoot them.

Stalingrad is tons of fun, adding legacy elements to its ongoing campaign. Game changing indeed!

Here it is, the most expensive game in the house. I expect it'll be worth it.

My favourite L&C title. Nice video!

Great review. I find the best part of LHY is the timing and casualty scoring mechanism. The fire system is a bit too fiddly for me. I also left ASL behind in favour of an innovative small unit tactics system: Conflict of Heroes. I recommend it, especially 3rd ed. and the solo expansion

But seriously... Your table project is inspiring me to look at reno-ing the basement into a proper game space.

The coat of pain is an awesome magical artifact, highly sought after

I like the old tech. This newfangled someone reading the book to me thing takes too long, and goes in one ear and out the other

My "collection" is under 50 games, and my wife thinks it's excessive.

I've gotta reno the basement into a game space. Can't leave stuff set up with my current environment, aka the dining room table.

I think games could work as investments to a degree, but few games increase in value, and managing your collection becomes your job. I'm never going to buy a game and leave it in shrink, or unpunched.

Best there ever was... Dark Tower, Enchanted Wood, Griffin Mountain! And many more.

I learned early on as a GM to let players do the heavy lifting. I don't think I've tried to run a plot or tell a story since 1990.

I'm on the buy more games - eat less weight loss plan. My waistline shrinks inversely to the size of my game shelf(ves)

I would!

That's great Mike, nice job.

Am I seeing 5 15mm 20 compartment trays?
December 23, 2023 at 8:27 AM
Well, there's no accounting for taste :)

And I nearly forgot Sword of Cepheus. Can't do that.

2023 had Blades in the Dark, Mothership, Band of Blades, Stars without Number, Spectaculars, Runequest...7?, Dungeon World, and The Burning Wheel. A good year.
