@theblue.report Can anyone explain the point of controlling 2/3s of the Panama Canal? Sounds like USA assumed maintenance costs for 2/3s of it. This is a good deal how ? Does it preface taking over the whole canal?

A reminder why I joined Bluesky. An asshole-ish post on FB from a person I do not know. A vacation needed from FB for a while except a scan for reunion info. Soooooo in general, a day that has left me cranky. That just added to it.
