Hi! My coauthor @markfandango.bsky.social and I started playing TTRPGs together over 20 years ago and our debut novel came out in the spring. :)

I do love her very much. I also don't believe she knew how awkward it would be for me.

The only reason I didn't walk out is because I didn't want to embarrass my MIL. (I thought about leaving quite a few times.) I didn't bother giving the comedian my attention in the second part, though. It was a much better use of my time to get some words down.

Said second part included a tribute song and video to Charlie Kirk and repeated exhortations that we're in the last days.

I enjoyed the drive with the family. I could have done without the show.

(I was there because MIL arranged for and paid for us all to go and I love my MIL.)
