Sorry I missed this! I do believe it’s fairly accurate for full time workers, though in government we often ignore things like the MIT’s cost of living calculator and we shouldn’t. The attached document gives an overview of how that 44% number was derived.

Growing up the awful, immature boys in my grade would oink or moo at larger girls because we live in farm country. It happened to me and this sent me right back there!! So vile.

Did you see the DOE’s new list of professional fields for higher ed? It’s down to 10, included theology, but drops PT, OT, RNs, mental health professionals!! Thanks to the big asinine bill many people can’t afford their education. The loans I took out for grad school a decade ago I could not now!

Medicaid cuts will cause Nursing Home closures. The unconstitutional doge cuts will dramatically impact state and local government budgets along with non-profits that rely heavily on federal funds. My ex used to run a home for developmentally disabled adults - nearly all the funding is federal.
