We can't predict, let alone control, what lies ahead, but we can adapt. We can feel, name, and process our emotions. We can reach out for support and help others when they need it. We must organize for shelter from the flames, storms and chaos. There's strength in numbers—power in the collective.

So even though Biden might be remembered for canceling more student debt than any president, it's vital to note that 5 million folks gained relief thanks to dedicated organizers, not just politicians. I'm not among those freed, but I'm still grateful for all we've achieved. The struggle continues!

Older borrowers are literally running out of time.
