What's a game that you were hyped for that disappointed you?

I love Star Ocean and was hyped for another game made by Tri-Ace!

Except the story sucked, didn’t pick up until the second disc, poor characterization, and more.

At least the OST was good, I guess

Generally pretty bad at puzzle games, but thanks to a friend, I got super hooked on Helltaker. Still haven't beat it cause... there's just too much going on during the last level @_@

The other first JRPG was Star Ocean: The Second Story. Gosh I love this game with my entire soul. There’s a remake so you can play it on modern systems!

Tales of Eternia was my first Tales games, one of the first JRPGs I ever played.
If it doesn’t look familiar, we got it as Tales of Destiny II because when it was brought over didn’t realize there was an actual Tales of Destiny II

Ar Tonelico I was introduced to by my SO. I borrowed it and then decided to get the game myself. Almost fought the Game Stop employee cause he didn’t want to give me the last copy 😒
