From what I’ve read, he was the unpopular kid in high school who got attention by saying shocking things. But instead of growing out of it, he’s increasingly leaned into it and acted on them.

It’s too late. And for background, I do immigration law as a volunteer, mainly with asylees and refugees. Stress is through the roof for these people, even for people who should be fine. I listened yesterday to the pain related to Kids In Need of Defense (KIND) being gutted.

Can someone start a page of episodes of “They voted for Trump but now …” to celebrate their misery. They voted to inflict cruelty. No sympathy. Maybe in 2017 when people had less idea what they were getting. Yes, my humanity may be declining but I do volunteer legal work for immigrants and see pain.
