Highsnobiety's article on swimwear, "What the F*** Has Happened to Swimwear?" has made me realise that finding good swimwear should NOT be impossible! Mercea is here to fill that gap and allow women to find affordable, comfortable swimwear for themselves. #RUPASSION

In one of my previous posts, I posted my logo process. I decided to add a grainy and sandy background and the word swim under. Creating my logo was the most challenging part. I simultaneously wanted it to be different and straightforward, and I achieved it!

When trying on new clothes, don't you care about the fabric? Mercea is determined to make the ideal fabric blend. Seamworks says swimwear is best when it is 80% nylon / 20% spandex. Big brands like Frankie Bikini's use a similar blend.

According to research by Marika Tiggemann and Catherine Lacey shows that most body dissatisfaction comes from swimwear. Because of this research, I am determined to make Mercea a brand that ends that struggle.

When I started working on Mercea, I looked to brands like CUPSHE and Frankies Bikinis for inspiration, both known for their aesthetics and strong communities.

Creating the logo and tags reminded me of my original vision: to keep this brand simple, fun, and empowering, focusing on women.

I am proud to post the new logo for Mercea! MC for short, with a seashell replacing the C. Seashells symbolize femininity and growth, two core values representing this brand.
