Yup. Like I said, this started a long time ago. I was in school when Bush implemented No Child Left Behind. School revolved around state testing. It never felt like we were really learning anything, just memorizing for tests. And a lot of info was wrong. I learned about Vietnam from a study website.

Honestly, I wake up every morning hoping for some good news. I really can't believe that we are where we are. I can't believe Americans at really all levels let this happen and get to this point. Every news story I read, I'm like, why isn't anyone stopping this? It's terrifying.

I'm definitely not excusing anything, just trying to explain the nuance. It's sad and scary. Lots of people in this country are illiterate and the poorest and most uneducated states are red. It will take a LOT of hard work to get us to a point where we can spread philosophy to the masses.

You're totally right. And this is the America I want to see. But for a long time now, the education system has been gutted, teachers have been underpaid, and parents are working full-time jobs and maybe second or third jobs. Parents are too jaded to teach their kids, and honestly, so are teachers.

I would just like to say, the government is in charge of our education. That is why we do not learn to think critically. This has been a plan set in motion DECADES ago. The country is uneducated and ignorant on purpose. Intelligent and educated folks know why these are important.

Like serious question, what do we do about this? I feel like protesting and marching is not enough. This is a serious breech and nobody in our government is doing anything to stop this. How do we start planning things? What can we do? How do we stop our country from being taken over?
