Come on live a little give Gentoo a try or to really hit the masochism spot LFS.

And the fucking micro SD card slot. I'm going to keep my S20 FE for as long as I can keep it going just to keep that feature.

I'm pretty sure we owned like two or three landline phones for forty some years. And none of them ever broke. At the end it was the same phones that were connected to the voip router of the fiber box...

Nahh they wind down production in time to keep inventory low. Would not be shocked to learn that the cards Nvidia are selling for AI are shit at gaming. Or even without any HDMI/display port out. So no used market either.
November 24, 2025 at 12:32 PM
Loll Not only do they let someone take pictures dumbass have a security camera gathering evidence. Left top corner of the picture.

Hiding IP maybe?
November 24, 2025 at 3:38 AM
That's a very inefficient way to troll a social media. You could setup hundreds if not thousands of bots accounts running on a single PC. Now if you want to get fancier and scale that shit up to the next level you rent a botnet...
November 24, 2025 at 3:28 AM
I can do even more obscure than that...

Post a movie where you are from

I give them three months to announce Windows 12 and it just gonna be a 10 rebrand to stop the bleeding. They drop the TPM requirement and all the AI bullshit (They spoon feed that back later on anyway.) with a free upgrade path for 10 users. That exactly what Coca Cola did with NEW Coke.

A 10 years old I7 is not even a bottleneck. Why do you think AMD can keep releasing new CPU for the same socket. The big advance are in pcie, faster RAM, GPU, and sweet sweet NVME drives. That where all the heavy lifting is done.
November 23, 2025 at 8:56 PM
Honestly CPU wise we hit a wall more than a decade ago. They been making them more energy efficient, they generate less heat... But technically you're not getting anything all that better unless you spend a shitload on a threadripper, and those are not for normal use.
November 23, 2025 at 8:56 PM
That's literally more steps than doing a fresh mint install.
November 23, 2025 at 8:44 PM
Thank's for the warning. If you been backing up your Firefox .config that shit is moving and you have to account for that.
November 22, 2025 at 8:13 PM
Weird I can't reproduce the problem on Mint Xfce, but thanks for the discovery neat little tool.
November 22, 2025 at 8:08 PM
And that's Zorin, I wonder what the numbers for more well known distro?
November 22, 2025 at 8:06 PM
Yep at the very least you should try to hit a particular version of Proton and make sure you work with THAT version, and tell people about it. There some documentation about the do's and don't of targeting proton. gradyvuckovic.gitlab.io/linux-game-s...
Proton Compatibility
If, after exploring all options, you find that Linux support is still prohibitively difficult, time consuming, and/or expensive, there is the option of ensuring that your game is compatible with Proto...

So if Valve release an OEM programs and branding for makers they require some spec standard to be hit. Like X amount of Ram, Y amount of Vram, your Wi-Fi chip must have a Linux driver... That sort of shit.
November 22, 2025 at 7:17 PM
It's a OEM thing you could not use the brand to market your laptop/desktop (The stickers is the brand.) without at least providing a product that work with that version of Windows. There might also have been drivers requirement.
