So is Drancy, and it’s a very normal place and that is also so weird, psychologically. You’ll be minding your own business on the RER B, the train just stops *there* and your entire body freezes up.

It’s dystopian but also like, a *grift.* The science isn’t there. There will be vague suggestions about *odds* of this or that but no promises, and people will end up with short, nearsighted kids with mental health issues anyway, and then what? Resent their kid for turning out to be a regular human?

It’s literally worse!

Look, all I’m doing is recognizing that we’ve enshrined a bipartisan tradition where the next Democratic administration gets to add a number of useful and beneficial drugs to the list.

My mother tried for *years* to get my dad’s family to see that a fabulous couscous with turkey and traditional Thanksgiving vegetables would make the perfect centerpiece, but alas, it was never accepted, so French-inspired it is.

(But never, ever green bean casserole.)

I always use turkey for chili. Also nice in bolognese, and great for all different kinds of meatballs.

I knew it! You’ve always had a soft spot for Putin

Honestly, if ICE/CBP hold off on attacking NYC, that’s a W

(I suspect Stephen Miller may not be making certain to obtain clear and precise orders from the top, so we’ll see)

Politically & *tonally*

The era of following Trump’s insistance that admitting any error makes you look weak, so never back down, never apologize, always punch back is going to end. There’s an opportunity in being among the 1st to look like the bigger person and come across as decent & reasonable.

She knows where the wind is blowing. It’s a very smart, strategic pivot.

There’s a timeline where Sens Romney & Bennett co-sponsor a fairly popular, bipartisan bill to regulate the apps. It gets spun as the GOP acting to satisfy its religious base but also expand its appeal among women.

We don’t live in that world anymore. Daddy must have his fun at any cost.

That said, “Investigate all these DEMOCRATS in Epstein’s emails!!” is also stupid politically. It encourages Republicans in Congress to vote for releasing the files while making it look like they’re going after his enemies rather than him.

Hands them a neat little story to tell their constituents.

The weird omission is Austin, I think? It’s not Dallas, but it’s really not a dinky regional airport and gets more passengers flying in and out than some places on the list.

We’re just attesting random historical facts about travelers’ biographies, where for some reason, being trans is like being born in the Middle East!

I mean, I personally look forward to their attempts to paint James Talarico and Jon Ossoff as jihadists. They should definitely embrace that strategy.

Consider the jihadism!

He’s made it this far, he should live to see his resurgent political project burned to ashes.

They’d work really well as companion pieces with echoing themes and through lines!

I hope TPM is open to that idea. Then, the demon doesn’t have to win.
