Surprised my 7yo with a library trip after school. He found a coveted Beverly Cleary book and we played chess. He can’t stop talking about how fun it was. Never would have thought this baby with reflux who never slept would become my best friend. (If you’re in the newborn trenches, it gets better)

My partner ran a half marathon and on the way home picked up flowers for me to say thank you for handling the kids during his training runs and the race bc he knows how much work it is. Having a partner who recognizes the labor behind being a mother and doesn’t take it for granted? 10/10 no notes

I’m always proud to be a Bethlehem parent and community member, but last night I was especially proud after hearing our superintendent, foundation President, and mayor all affirm our city and school’s commitment to serving the ENTIRE community, not just those with resources and privilege.

I find myself turning to art as I grieve and process, as I’ve done every heartache before. Here’s one of my favorites by Kate Baer, whose poetry has saved me again and again.
Below, please tell me what art and poetry has helped you as you take another step forward.
