I ordered a new plan with new provider and said “Rufnummer-mitnehmen”.
I rang my old provider asking them to release the number.

My backend mindset always resorts to using fallbacks, just like with the default metadata.
Been on this for weeks, jumping back and forth between packages and services. Finally thought it won't hurt to try without the defaults and got it to work.

All I say is don’t curse on a company interview process. It could be you. Or if it’s them, then being rejected is a blessing.
