Saw a sketch once by Loading Ready Run where rent was "the first of the month" where a time sucking machine would steal a day from you for mystery reasons by mystery means. It feels so utopian of a premise.

Filling it with beer instead of hard liquor is considered a misuse of the product.

It's usually better to watch the show or movie of an adapted book first. There are more details to finding the books so you still enjoy them and you have an easier time keeping track of characters if you can imagine the actor's face. Doubly so for fantasy and sci-fi.
