At the HHS announcement yesterday announcing proposed rules to ban GAC, they said trans people are "at the root of the evils we face" and are "a hatred for nature as God designed it and for life as it was meant to be lived.”

Just in case you thought it was about concerns for proper healthcare.

It's a whole of government effort to eradicate trans people from society. This is just the first step. They're coming for all of us.

I am not seeing many people talk about this with everything else in the news right now. This bill is predicted to die in the senate, but that it passed the house is a sign that trans people need cis allies to step up and fight against this. We need your loud full-throated support.
The House passed legislation today that would charge doctors with a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison for providing transition-related care to minors.

Rep. Sarah McBride strongly condemned the legislation in rare personal remarks ahead of the vote.

I’m experimenting with cyanotype prints of microscopic slides. I love the process so much. I get to play with a microscope and do printing.

It is becoming more and more apparent to me that I need to learn some basic electronics for my art and I have no idea where to start to learn that.

I picked the most perfectly red apple from a tree that grows on the common by a local pub. I’ve never seen apples so perfect before. It’s so sweet too.

As soon as I get home from this trip, I’m going to read the Assata Shakur essay in a book I purchased last week.
Rest in power.

Really starting to wonder if the United States will soon be a place I can’t return to (for a visit) as a nonbinary trans person

Got the summerhouse in our backyard converted into an art studio. It’s still full of spiders, but I can live with that

People need to understand just how openly genocidal the rhetoric on the far right is getting towards transgender people. They're openly talking about eradicating us and forcefully mass institutionalizing all trans people.

These are people with direct ties to the Trump administration.

My landlord came by with fresh tomatoes from his garden and apples from the trees, so tonight’s pasta is sauce from scratch and my husband has promised to bake an apple cake. Sharing food from one’s garden feels like such an incredible act of caring to me.

If you are a citizen OR resident of the United Kingdom, please consider signing this parliamentary petition to "Legally enshrine the right of adults to physically transition using NHS services"
Okay folks! We’ve a real opportunity here. This petition is at 78,000 (ends 28 July!). With a good push, we can get it over the line.
MPs *don't need to stick to the exact petition topic*. We can brief them to discuss any & ALL issues with trans healthcare.

I couldn't let that Confessore piece slide. It was such a disgusting hit piece on a vulnerable community in a moment of crisis. I dissected the article and why its framings are dishonest at best and outright lies of ommission at worst.
