I am not usually one who struggles with productivity at work - I just get going and keep going. Today I am really struggling to find a way to be motivated and do what I need to. I feel dull and tired.

Today is 20 years since my Mom died of cancer. It feels both like a day and a lifetime. I will always miss her and be unmoored because of it. Time does not heal, it only brings distance that causes deeper pain.

Halfway into first working day of the year. Catch up on all the little things that were left over from last year and checking accounts. Grateful that I kept up in some areas so it is not as mad. Hope all that are back to work have a good first day and year. I do not want to be here but I'm trying.

Just ate that leftover salad that I forgot at the office yesterday. My body is not sure about having olives before 9 in the morning but it will have to be strong. I shall wash it down with a nice espresso.

Just sitting at the office realizing that this time next week we will be done for the year. Or let me say the office is closed. Bookkeepers never fully stop working but over holidays it is nice to break and just maintain the systems.

I was going to complain that I see only cats on my Discover feed but is seems like there are some dogs coming in as well. No offence to cats at all, I just balance more to the dog side.
