my late fall funfetti pair for #socktober. I added mohair to the heels and toes for strength and softness and can already tell I’ll be wearing these socks a lot.

I’ve been wanting to make the Cheslie Toque (Kiyomi Burgin) for over a year and now it’s done! first time knitting with ritual dyes yarn and it worked up so quickly and beautifully 🧶

finished knitting cliff walk by Helen Stewart. my 11th (!!) pair of socks in 2025 🧶

The socks have an all-over lace pattern comprised of columns of mirrored waves down the cuff and foot of the sock, an eye of partridge Dutch heel, and a twisted rib cuff. The yarn is a variegated coral pink with soft brown, mauve, and olive blended in. There is a thin contrasting band of bright coral at the top of the cuff.

a year and a half of socks for #showmeyourknits knitter’s choice! hard to pick a favorite pair but there are a few that I wear the most ☺️ 🧶
Approximately 15 pairs of hand knit socks in an untidy pile on the floor. Some pairs feature colorwork, others are cabled, and many have textures created by combining knit, purl, and slip stitches. Palette includes tonal solids, variegated, and speckled yarn in a rainbow of colors.

knitting this sock flat was a a borderline repulsive process that felt unnatural, inefficient, and inelegant, but the result turned out really cute!!
